uSec offers a set of offline (in-person) device pen-testing courses "From Zero to Hero". Participants will delve into both the theoretical background and practical use cases of side-channel and fault attacks, device discovery, firmware extraction, and other topics. The workshops are structured as a Capture the Flag (CTF) event, presenting students with challenges that build upon each other. They will have the chance to tackle practical examples, such as dumping a device's firmware, extracting a flash encryption key of a crypto-wallet, and bypassing signature checks, among others. By the end of the workshop, attendees will have gained a solid understanding of attacks on devices, as well as valuable experience in addressing real-world security scenarios. This workshop aims to empower individuals to think critically, develop practical solutions, and enhance their skills in securing devices against potential threats.
